Moccona Coffee is a Dutch brand that was first introduced in 1753 by Douwe Egberts, a Dutch coffee roasting company. The brand name "Moccona" was derived from the Latin word "mocha," which refers to a type of coffee bean grown in Yemen. 
 
Douwe Egberts began as a small grocery store in Joure, Netherlands, where the owner, Egbert Douwes, roasted and sold coffee beans. After his son, Douwe Egberts, joined the company, they began to expand their coffee business. In 1925, the company introduced the Moccona brand, which quickly became popular in the Netherlands and eventually expanded to other countries.
 
In the 1950s, Moccona Coffee was introduced to Australia, where it became one of the most popular instant coffee brands. The brand was acquired by the Australian company, JDE Coffee, in 2012.
 
Today, Moccona Coffee is sold in over 50 countries and is known for its smooth taste and rich aroma. The brand offers a range of instant coffee blends, including Classic, Dark Roast, and Espresso. Moccona also produces ground coffee and coffee capsules for use with Nespresso machines.
